Despite recent rainfall, PG&E said its weather team expected an elevated fire danger because of dry and gusty north winds.
The strongest winds, with gusts of 40-60 mph, are expected on the northern Sierra foothills, parts of Shasta County and the North Bay hills from late Friday through Saturday morning, PG&E said.
