One lane maintained in each direction on 12 Mile Road for business and residential access. Projected completion in late Fall.
Buckhorn Lake Road
Rattalee Lake Road and Fenton Road in Holly and Springfield Township for railroad-crossing repairs. Road closed north of Rattalee, residential and business access maintained on both sides of the closure. Project dates are Oct. 26-30.
Fagan Road
Over the Swartz Creek tributary between Grange Hall Road and Lahring Road in Holly Township, just north of Shields Road. Residential access on both sides of the closure. Road closure due to a deteriorating culvert. Replacement plans will be announced in 2027. Detour is Quick Road to North Holly Road to Lahring Road, back to Fagan Road and vice versa. Projected completion in 2027.
Greenfield Road
North of Lincoln to 12 Mile Road in Berkley, Oak Park and Southfield to remove existing pavement, asphalt paving, reconstructing select sidestreet approaches, ADA-compliant crosswalks, curb/gutter repairs, upgrading SMART bus stops and modernizing traffic signals on Greenfield Road at the Kroger entrance, 11 Mile Road and Catalpa. One lane open in each direction on Greenfield Road for business access. Projected completion is early November.
9 Mile Road
Gravel road paving by a private developer on 9 Mile Road in Lyon Township. Road closed east of Addison Boulevard to Briar Meadow Drive. Residential access maintained within the closure. Detour is Griswold Road to 10 Mile Road to Currie Road back to 9 Mile Road and vice versa. Projected completion is late October.
Pontiac Trail/10 Mile
10 Mile Road, west of Pontiac Trail in South Lyon for road reconstruction and drainage improvements. The west half of 10 Mile Road at Pontiac Trail will close, the east half of 10 Mile Road at Pontiac Trail will remain open, westbound traffic permitted to turn southbound onto Pontiac Trail. Southbound Pontiac Trail will remain open. Detour is 10 Mile Road to 9 Mile Road to Griswold Road, back to 10 Mile Road. Project completion is late October.
Pontiac Trail/Lafayette Street
9 Mile Road to the CSX tracks, north of 10 Mile Road in Lyon Township and South Lyon for road reconstruction, asphalt paving, drainage improvements, traffic signal upgrades, extending the SB right turn lane on 9 Mile from Princeton, adding an EB right-turn lane on 9 Mile at Pontiac Trail and ADA-compliant crosswalks. Northbound Pontiac Trail/Lafayette Street closed to traffic from Reynold Sweet Pkwy to CSX railroad tracks; southbound remains open to 9 Mile. On-street parking is prohibited. Business and sidewalk access maintained. Northbound detour is 9 Mile Road to Griswold Road to 10 Mile Road to Martindale Road to 11 Mile Road back to Pontiac Trail. There will be additional road closures; dates and detours will be announced. Projected completion is mid-November.
New Hudson Drive/Pontiac Trail
Roundabout closed west of Milford Road in Lyon Township for milling and repaving asphalt. One day closure, Oct. 24. Motorists will need to seek alternate routes.
Lyon Center Drive/Grand River Avenue

Quarton Road
Westbound between Woodward Avenue/M-1 and Cranbrook Road in Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills and Bloomfield Township for permit work. Westbound Quarton Road closed from Woodward Avenue to Cranbrook Road, Eastbound Quarton Road remains open; residential and business access maintained, pedestrian signal and path remains open. Detour for westbound Quarton Road is Woodward Avenue/M-1 to Long Lake Road to Lahser Road, back to Quarton Road. Projected completion is November 30.
Walnut Lake Road
Orchard Lake Road and Middlebelt Road in West Bloomfield Township for culvert removal and replacement over the Rouge River tributary, asphalt paving, pathway reconstruction, new signage and pavement markings. Residential and business access maintained east and west of the closure, east of Springwater Lane. Detour is Middlebelt Road to Maple Road to Orchard Lake Road back to Walnut Lake Road and vice versa. Projected completion is late November.
