Allison Holker is adjusting well since trading in the Golden State for the Beehive State.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the professional dancer, 38, reflects on leaving Los Angeles to move to Utah. Holker relocated in February, after getting engaged to her fiancé, tech CEO Adam Edmunds, that same month — more than three years following the death of her husband, Stephen “tWitch” Boss.
“I absolutely adore Utah. It is absolutely stunning. It’s beautiful,” the Dancing with the Stars and the So You Think You Can Dance alum said while attending the Dancers Against Cancer‘s 2026 Industry Dance Awards in Los Angeles on Oct. 21.
“I’m actually a Utah native. That is where I grew up,” she continued. “My whole family is there: my parents live there, my brothers and sisters, and my kids, their cousins are there.”
“I [also] have my same friends from high school, and it’s been a dream to be back,” added Holker. “And, of course, I’m there with my fiancé, which is just wonderful. Adam is such a delight. He’s so good to me and my kids. I can’t even rave about him enough.”

Holker and Edmunds, 45, made their relationship public in September 2024, less than two years after Boss’ death.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show star died by suicide at age 40 in December 2022. He and Holker got married in 2013, three years after meeting on SYTYCD, and they shared three children together: son Maddox, 9, and daughter Zaia, 5, plus Holker’s daughter Weslie, 18, whom Boss adopted.

Edmunds proposed to Holker in February, during a surprise 38th birthday party he organized for her.
Holker revealed the news of the proposal through an Instagram post a week later, calling it “the most romantic night” of her life.

In Utah, Holker said she and Edmunds — who is also a father to a son, Cole — have blended their families. “It’s so perfect for raising children,” she explained of relocating hundreds of miles away from Los Angeles. “It has been the biggest change for them, but in a really, really wonderful way.”
“My children get to run around freely in the neighborhood and have friends that they just get to go meet up with,” continued the mother of three.
“We, as a family, have been able to let our guard down and just exist and experience every single day from a little bit of a more lighthearted space,” added Holker.
As for how her now-fiancé honors Boss, Holker told PEOPLE, “It’s really beautiful to see him when he talks about my late husband with my children.”
“It is never a secret. It’s something that we celebrate and we talk about, and we only want to remember his memory in such a loving, light way,” she said.
