The family of an south Oakland County girl who had been missing for two days said Sunday that the 13-year-old has died, and they are asking the public for privacy as they grieve.
Relatives of Victoria Graham of Royal Oak Township did not say how the youngster died. She had been missing since Oct. 22, according to Michigan State Police.
“During this difficult time, we respectfully ask that everyone honor the family’s need for privacy and give us a few days to grieve and process this loss,” family members said in a statement posted on social media. “The outpouring of phone calls, messages, and social media posts has been appreciated. We sincerely received the love, prayers, and support shown to our family.”

Michigan State Police on Saturday asked for the media’s assistance in getting the word out about the missing child.
Victoria was last heard from at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22. She did not return home from school that day, MSP said. Investigators said she may have returned home before leaving the residence.
Victoria’s cell phone was turned off, investigators said.
Later Saturday night, Michigan State Police confirmed the girl had been located. No additional information will be made available, troopers said.
