After forcing an Atlanta three-and-out, San Francisco took over at midfield after a poor punt from Jake Bailey.
Purdy then completed 1- and 5-yard passes to Kittle and McCaffrey, respectively, before Brandin Cooks was called for a false start penalty.
Falcons linebacker Kendal Daniels then intercepted Purdy on third-and-9, pretty much ending the 49ers’ hope of a comeback win.
