FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — With just over a week to go until the midterm election, a Fresno City Council candidate in a runoff race could soon be facing criminal charges after an arrest over the weekend.
Fresno police said 48-year-old Naindeep Singh was arrested Saturday, accused of driving under the influence of a drug.
Singh is in the runoff to represent Fresno City Council District One and also serves as a school board trustee with Central Unified.
FOX26 News said it reached out to Singh for comment Monday morning. No response was immediately available.
