Tom Jones postponed his Los Angeles and San Diego concerts after coming down with the flu, announcing the changes on Oct. 26

The shows have been rescheduled for Nov. 3 in San Diego and Nov. 4 in Los Angeles, with original tickets remaining valid

The 86-year-old singer previously postponed a 2025 concert due to an upper respiratory infection and revealed in 2022 that he had undergone a second hip replacement

Tom Jones is postponing two upcoming concerts after coming down with the flu.

The 86-year-old singer announced on Monday, Oct. 26, that he would reschedule his Los Angeles and San Diego shows after completing 20 performances across the U.S. in recent weeks.

“I’ve had a great time these last few weeks, completing 20 shows and singing for wonderful audiences across the USA, but unexpectedly I’ve been hit with a bad case of the flu,” Jones wrote in a social media post.

“Following doctor’s advice, I unfortunately have to reschedule tonight’s show in Los Angeles and tomorrow’s show in San Diego,” he continued.

Jones’ San Diego concert at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3, while his Los Angeles performance at The Greek Theatre will now take place on Wednesday, Nov. 4, according to his announcement.

“I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. I look forward to seeing you all soon,” the singer added.

Tickets for the original dates will remain valid for the rescheduled shows. Fans who are unable to attend the new dates are advised to contact their original point of purchase for a full refund, according to the announcement.

This isn’t the first time Jones has had to postpone a performance because of an illness. In July 2025, the Welsh singer postponed a concert in Bremen, Germany, after contracting an upper respiratory infection.

“Unfortunately, I must postpone my show this evening, as I’ve contracted an upper respiratory infection that needs treatment and rest,” he wrote in an Instagram statement at the time. “I know this is really disappointing and will cause inconvenience to you all, and I’m very sorry about that.”

Jones rescheduled the Bremen concert for July 28, 2025 and confirmed that tickets would remain valid for the new date.

The singer also addressed health concerns in 2022 after being diagnosed with viral laryngitis, pushing back against rumors that he had collapsed before a scheduled performance.

“I did NOT ‘collapse’ anywhere at any time, that is pure rumor,” he wrote at the time. “Hopefully the inflammation will calm soon as I am looking forward to continuing my wonderful summer tour.”

“Unfortunately the show had to be canceled at the last minute, and for that I am very sorry,” he added, noting that a performance in Budapest had been rescheduled for Aug. 16.

In November 2022, Jones revealed that he had undergone a second hip replacement, sharing that the surgery had gone well and thanking fans for their well wishes. He also reassured fans that he was following his recovery plan and doing physical therapy, adding that he hoped to return to performing soon.

PEOPLE has reached out to a representative for Jones for additional comment but did not immediately receive a response.
