A new, nonstop flight from the Cincinnati area to a popular California city has officially taken off.

On Monday, United Airlines launched its inaugural nonstop flight from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to San Francisco.

The new flight will operate seven days a week, departing CVG Airport in the morning with a return flight from San Francisco in the afternoon.

According to CVG officials, the route is projected to generate an estimated $36.5 million in annual economic impact for the Greater Cincinnati region.

“San Francisco is an important business, technology and tourism destination, and this new service gives travelers more options while strengthening our region’s connections to opportunities across the country and around the world,” said Larry Krauter, CEO of CVG Airport.
