DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Police are investigating a string of burglaries at cannabis dispensaries in downtown Los Angeles overnight.
Officers responded to a call about suspected burglars who were ramming a store on Imperial Street with a car around 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A security guard was in the store at the time and hid.
Once officers arrived, they started chasing a car. That pursuit only lasted about five minutes before three burglary suspects were arrested.
Police are also investigating another suspected burglary at a cannabis store on Mateo Street, just blocks away from the first incident. Officers weren’t able to locate any suspects there, but did find evidence of a burglary.
Video from the scene shows a shattered glass door.
Police believe that both incidents are connected. They also mentioned the possibility of a third scene, but details were limited.
