The remaining152 vote centers in Orange County will open Saturday, bringing the total number of locations available for the Nov. 3 general election to 191.
All the centers will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Nov. 2, and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
“We’ve been preparing all the equipment that is used in those vote centers. Making sure that they work accurately. And that they’re securely transported to those locations and can’t be tampered with,” Orange County Registrar Bob Page said earlier this month.
“Voting early means shorter lines for voters and faster results for everyone,” Page said in a statement. “Voters can return their ballot at any vote center, by mail, or at one of 128 official ballot drop boxes. No matter which option they choose, returning their ballot early gets it processed in time for election night results.”
The county is also offering “Pop-Up Vote Center” events at the following locations:
— Saturday, Oct. 31: CREER Comunidad y Familia, 31322 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano.
— Monday, Nov. 2: AltaMed Medical Group, Bristol, 2720 S. Bristol St., Ste. 110, Santa Ana.
Mailed ballots must be received or postmarked by Tuesday, Nov. 3, to be counted, according to the California Secretary of State’s Office, and received no later than seven days after Election Day.
