Anaheim Ducks News & Notes

Anaheim recalled forward Nico Myatovic from the AHL on Monday and placed A.J. Greer on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Myatovic, a Prince George, B.C., product drafted by the Ducks, gets his first NHL call-up after being among the final cuts in camp. The club also got a three-point night from Judd Caulfield in its most recent win, a notable output from the Grand Forks native who earned a roster spot out of training camp.

The Ducks also unveiled their Hometown Remix sweater, part of the league-wide rollout of all 32 designs. Anaheim’s version leans on the franchise’s Disney origins, drawing from the Mighty Ducks films and their District 5 roots, and it has ranked near the top of several national lists evaluating the program. On the ice, the defensive end remains the organization’s central concern, with analysis this week framing the team’s play in its own zone as the issue most capable of undoing the season.

Vancouver Canucks News & Notes

Vancouver recalled forward Jacob Quillan from Abbotsford on October 30, 15 days after acquiring him from Toronto, with Filip Chytil placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. Quillan, 24, posted five goals and two assists in five AHL games after the trade, including a hat trick against Calgary on October 25. The Canucks obtained Quillan and Brandon Buhr from the Maple Leafs on October 15 in exchange for Aatu Raty. Quillan has 24 games of NHL experience with Toronto, recording three points.
