Seven people were arrested Thursday in northwest Bakersfield as part of a quality-of-life enforcement action prompted by complaints from local residents and businesses.
A news release Friday from the Bakersfield Police Department said the arrestees were taken in on suspicion of a series of crimes, the most serious being a parole violation for an assault causing great bodily harm.
The operation focused on the area around Oswell and Auburn streets.
BPD encouraged businesses experiencing trespassing and related crimes to sign up with its Trespass Enforcement Authorization program by calling 661-852-7151 or emailing trespassletters@bakersfieldcity.us.
