Re “To boost homebuilding, San Diego planners OK letting council overrule historic designations” (Nov. 6): Ironic that the U-T should use a photo of a Mission Hills property as one example of a historical place. Less than one block away, a developer is replacing four old Craftsman bungalows with a 12-story complex. Unit size: less than 400 square feet. Parking spaces: none. It will be the second such development in less than a quarter-mile radius.
I know hizzoner and Mr. Whitburn want to turn our town into Manhattan, but I sure wish some of the other City Council members would walk a mile to the trolley in my shoes.
