California Forever has submitted its plan to expand Suisun City, aiming to transform the area with new housing, jobs, and entertainment facilities. The Suisun Expansion Plan is detailed in a more than 250-page document, showcasing renderings of the vision for over 16,000 acres of land owned by California Forever, including housing, a regional jobs center, parks, a swimming facility, and an amphitheater.California Forever also wants to increase Suisun City’s population by more than 350,000 people over 50 years. The city’s population is currently around 30,000.”We officially accepted their application for the Suisun Expansion Plan,” Suisun City Manager Bret Prebula said. “This really begins the next part of our journey with them, which is to do a really detailed review of that specific plan, the area plan, and we begin the process to initiate the Environmental Impact report.” Prebula emphasized that these studies are crucial to ensure the plan meets the needs of residents and the city.
