SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The 12th Annual San Diego Toys for Tots Ride will be taking place on Sunday, Nov. 23.
The event was started by Mike Harris who was involved in the Toys for Tots program through his service in the Army Reserves.
The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club got involved a few years ago and now it has turned into a two-part event. In fact, one of the races is dedicated to the cause.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. at Indian Motorcycle of El Cajon. They will ride to the Del Mar Fairgrounds, where riders will receive free admission into the track. They will also have other activities, as well as opportunity drawings.
Organizers hope everyone brings a new unwrapped toy. They are requesting toys for children of all ages, but always need some for the youngest and the oldest.
