SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Some roadways are closed across San Diego County as a Pacific storm brings heavy rain and flooding in certain areas. This comes as a flood watch remains in effect for the region through Saturday evening.

Local officials continue to stress: “Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads.” According to the National Weather Service, most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Drivers are encouraged to use extreme caution during this bout of rain.
