Sunday’s NFL Week 11 slate got up and running early in Spain.

The Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders fought in a low-scoring affair inside Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu, with the game being decided in overtime.

Then the real early window featured seven games, with the Buffalo Bills hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Jacksonville Jaguars welcoming the Los Angeles Chargers, among others.

In the late window, a new team reached 9-2 while two NFC West matches brought more clarity to a tight-knit division.

Let’s dive into the winners and losers thus far from Week 11:

WINNER: De’Von Achane powers Dolphins

Spain saw plenty of miscues between Miami and Washington, but the Dolphins just came through in overtime to win 16-13 thanks to a Marcus Mariota pick.

Miami’s RB1 De’Von Achane had plenty to say in the game despite not finding paydirt for his efforts, logging 120 rushing yards on 21 carries while adding 45 receiving yards on five catches.

Mike McDaniel’s team now has won two straight — including Buffalo last time out — which helps his hot seat cool down just a tad.

LOSER: Justin Herbert, Chargers fall flat in Florida

The Jaguars completely routed the Chargers 35-6, with Justin Herbert having a nightmare of a game. Los Angeles’ QB1 threw for just 81 yards on 10 of 18 completions and an interception.

Trevor Lawrence wasn’t miles better, but the run pairing of Bhayshul Tuten and Travis Etienne Jr. had too much power for the Chargers to handle.

Los Angeles is now 7-4 after a three-game skid helped it climb back into the AFC West race, while Jacksonville is 6-4. But as far as performances go, LA looked shallow against a fellow conference hopeful.

WINNER: Josh Allen does Josh Allen things

The reigning league MVP showed why that was the case. Buffalo’s star quarterback had some hiccups early at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but closed out strong in a 44-32 win. Josh Allen threw for three touchdowns on 317 passing yards and also ran in three for a six-score day.

Baker Mayfield didn’t have a great game against a Super Bowl hopeful, throwing for just 173 yards, one touchdown and a pick on 16 of 28 completions while getting strip-sacked late. But he got help from Sean Tucker, who cashed in a stellar performance with three total touchdowns of his own — including 106 rushing yards.

Buffalo is now 7-3 with renewed confidence after last week’s fall in Miami, while Tampa Bay is 6-4 with a road trip to the LA Rams next.

Here are five things to know about Bills QB Josh Allen, who won the NFL MVP award for the 2024 season.

LOSER: Packers survive close call

Green Bay hasn’t exactly offered much confidence with its play lately as it hopes to be true player in the NFC. After two straight low-scoring, close home losses to Carolina and Philadelphia, the Packers traveled to face the lowly New York Giants with Jameis Winston under center.

The Packers did just come away with a 27-20 win, but their overall play needs to be much better with three straight divisional games coming up. Josh Jacobs left early and didn’t return, while Jordan Love completed only 13 of 24 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns.

A win is a win, but that’s not how Green Bay should be beating inferior teams.

WINNER: Have a day, Bryce Young

The Panthers entered the season with little to no expectations. That helps a young team play without much pressure. Carolina moved to 6-5 with a 30-27 road overtime win against the freefalling Atlanta Falcons.

Bryce Young had himself a day as his development continues, throwing for 448 yards, three scores and no picks on 31 of 45 completions. With Rico Dowdle being kept in check, Young stood up to the task against a Raheem Morris-led side that just can’t get it done.

Michael Penix Jr. also didn’t finish the game with an injury, but Kirk Cousins offered little in his place. Atlanta is now 3-7 and serious questions should emerge on Morris’ future.

LOSER: J.J. McCarthy can’t complete comeback

The Chicago Bears might’ve had flashbacks from early in the season when J.J. McCarthy led an unexpected comeback on the road. But in Minnesota territory, it was Chicago that came away with a late win thanks to kicker Cairo Santos.

Caleb Williams didn’t have a great game, but the Bears are now 7-3. McCarthy and the Vikings scored 14 of their 17 in the fourth, but he only threw for 150 yards, one touchdown and two picks on 16 of 32 completions.

The Vikings are now 4-6 after last season’s promising run with Sam Darnold under center. McCarthy is still young, but the college issues came to light in this one.

WINNER: Brock Purdy flashes in 49ers return

The San Francisco 49ers still can’t escape the injury bug — including kicker Eddy Pineiro this week — but welcomed back star QB Brock Purdy and rising wideout Ricky Pearsall.

Those additions played a part in San Francisco rolling to a 41-22 road win at the Arizona Cardinals, where Jacoby Brissett completed a league-record 47 passes out of 52 attempts for 452 yards, two touchdowns and two picks. The Cardinals were also penalized 17 times for 130 yards, while the 49ers had just one flag.

Purdy completed 19 of 26 passes for 200 yards, three touchdowns and no picks as he kept it simple following a return from turf toe. Christian McCaffrey also added two ground scores along with a receiving touchdown as the 49ers moved to 7-4 in a tight NFC despite their still-growing injury list.

If Brock Purdy, Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey and Travis Kelce weren’t playing football, what would their jobs be? We asked their teammates to find out.

LOSER: Sam Darnold sees ghosts in LA

The Seattle Seahawks and Rams faced off in a key battle to take the NFC West lead. The Rams started hot with a 14-3 lead after one, but cooled off as Seattle’s defense kept its team alive.

Matthew Stafford threw for just 130 yards and two touchdowns on 15 of 28 completions, but he was fortunate that Sam Darnold struggled mightily, which is a theme for him against stronger opposition.

Darnold threw four picks and no scores en route to 279 passing yards on 29 of 44 completions. Kenneth Walker III had the only score for Seattle, but Jason Myers’ 61-yard attempt to steal the win went wide right. LA is now 8-2 and leads the division while Seattle dropped to 7-3.

WINNER: Ravens get back to .500

It wasn’t pretty, but the Ravens are lurking. Baltimore got back to .500 at 5-5 with a gritty 23-16 road win at the Cleveland Browns.

Lamar Jackson looked human throughout the game, completing 14 of 25 passes for 193 yards, no touchdowns and two picks while not threatening on the ground. Shedeur Sanders made his debut after replacing the injured Dillon Gabriel, but completed just 4-for-16 passes with a pick.

In the end, the difference was a Mark Andres’ 35-yard tush-push house call. Yes, you read that right.

LOSER: Chiefs drop to .500

On the opposite end of the spectrum for a Super Bowl hopeful, Kansas City fell to .500 at 5-5 after a late loss at the Denver Broncos. Bo Nix once again delivered in the clutch, putting his team in prime field goal position with Wil Lutz leaving no doubts as time expired.

Denver improved to an impressive 9-2 despite Nix not recording a single touchdown in the game, whereas Patrick Mahomes completed 29 of 45 passes for 261 yards, one touchdown and a pick. Denver’s robust defense kept him and the Chiefs in check.

The Broncos’ real test will come in the playoffs, while Kansas City, 0-5 in one-score games, remains on the outside looking in behind the 6-4 Jaguars. The Chiefs don’t have it easy as the Indianapolis Colts will visit next week.
