A man was shot and killed Saturday night at an apartment complex in Fresno. Police responded to the shooting at 11:15 p.m. in the 3000 block of West McKinley Avenue near North Marks Avenue after reports of a man on the ground who was bleeding from the head. The caller said they believed the victim had been shot.

Officers arrived and confirmed the man had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Fresno police Lt. Alfonso Castillo said the victim is not believed to be a tenant of the complex and homicide detectives were investigating scene.

It was the second deadly shooting in Fresno in less than 24 hours. At 3 a.m. Saturday, a man was shot and killed in the 1300 block of N. Ninth Street near Olive Avenue. Police said a fight took place before the shots were fired. Anyone with information about either fatal shooting is asked to call the police at 559-621-7000.
