A mother was pulled over and arrested along with her juvenile son and another minor after shots were fired at a home in the San Gabriel Valley in broad daylight, police said on Monday.
The shooting was reported just after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday when a vehicle stopped in front of the home on the 11500 block of Monte Vista Drive and discharged a firearm before fleeing the scene, according to the Whittier Police Department.
“The family inside the home was not injured,” police said.
Officers at the scene were able to obtain the license plate of the suspect vehicle, prompting a department-wide search.

A K-9 officer located the suspect’s vehicle less than a mile away, driving northbound on Norwalk Boulevard near Beverly Boulevard, and conducted what police described as a “high-risk felony traffic stop.” Three suspects were taken into custody.
“The adult female driver, her juvenile son, and another juvenile were arrested for multiple felony charges and transported to the Whittier PD Jail for booking,” police said.
Police said they also found the suspects in possession of two firearms, ammunition and narcotics.
