Anibal Hernandez Santana remains in custody in the Sacramento County Jail without bail and is on a federal hold.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The man accused of shooting into the ABC10 building is expected to be in Sacramento Superior Court on Thursday, November 20, for a new arraignment.
ABC10 is told that in October, an additional charge was added to Anibal Hernandez Santana’s state criminal case. The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office said the case was filed on Oct. 31 for felony shooting into an unoccupied building.Â
Currently, according to Sacramento County jail records, Hernandez Santana remains in custody without bail and is on a federal hold.
Hernandez Santana faces four federal charges, including discharge of a gun in a school zone, possession of a gun in a school zone, interference with a radio communication station and a criminal forfeiture allegation.
His other state charges include firing into an inhabited dwelling and assault with a semi-automatic gun, along with a personal use of a firearm allegation.
The U.S. Dept. of Justice confirms to ABC10 that a federal court hearing for Hernandez Santana has been postponed until June 2026.
ABC10 has reached out to Hernandez Santana’s legal team for comment.Â
Santana’s legal team told ABC10 they have no further information at this time. Lawyer Mark Reichel continues to assert that his client is presumed innocent unless and until proven otherwise.Â
