SACRAMENTO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man was arrested after an investigation revealed a large cache of guns and other law enforcement equipment.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 29-year-old Dalmin Muran following an investigation into his suspicious activities at local schools in East Sacramento County.
Muran was observed wearing military-style clothing and night-vision goggles at the school in the middle of the night.
Muran complied when security told him to leave, but did argue that the school is “public ground” and should be allowed in.
He also claimed to have had prior military service during other contacts, although it was determined he never had.
Deputies served a search warrant at his home, where they found multiple law enforcement patches, tactical gear, and modified firearms, including a “ghost gun.”
Deputies also discovered smoke grenades, flash bangs, and pepper spray.
Muran was booked on multiple felony charges but released on bond hours later..
Authorities are concerned that there may be unreported cases of Muran pretending to be law enforcement.
This is an ongoing investigation.
