The walkable, whimsical hamlet of Stars Hollow may have found festive inspiration in the historical towns of Connecticut, but its address really and truly ends in CA, rather than CT.

For the “Gilmore Girls” setting was cozily created on the Warner Bros. Studio backlot in Burbank, a place that is more about sun and not at all about snow.

The streets and buildings found on the famous movie and TV lot back were transformed into the fictional New England village for the beloved television series, which initially aired on The WB for several seasons beginning in 2000.

To honor the loyal Gilmore fandom, and to give Warner Bros. Studio Tour guests a bit of seasonal splendor, Warner Bros. adds several Stars Hollow touches to its backlot each Christmas, as it will again in 2025.

Holidays Made Here is the name of the uplifting and highly visual experience, and it returns for two twinkly weeks beginning Dec. 18.

Look for the gazebo at the heart of Stars Hollow to be festooned in Christmassy gewgaws and baubles, and keep an eye out for some of the buildings seen in the series (they’re not too much different, even a quarter century after the show’s launch).

Scott Patterson, who played Luke in the show, will also drop by, but do note that “there is no set schedule for these appearances.”

Miss Patty’s School of Ballet, Luke’s Diner, and the Dragonfly Inn are some of the sweet-as-candy stop-bys on the tour, which is included with a traditional Studio Tour ticket.

In the evening, a Light Show Spectacular will add some dash and dazzle to the fun, along with spots for taking photos, scavenger hunts, and fa, la, appearances by carolers.

There are some food and dining packages, too, including the Dragonfly Traditional Tea.

It’s a beloved event that has flowered like a pretty amaryllis over the years, and each yuletide season the Gilmore-tastic goings-on at the studio do seem to merrily multiply.

Adding to the fa, la, fun? The backlot is also the setting for other famous films, including “Gremlins,” that sassily supernatural seasonal gem.
