WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Donald Trump appeared to call a reporter “piggy” and tell her to be “quiet” after she asked him about his name being mentioned in emails sent by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The exchange took place late Friday night while aboard Air Force One.
Quiet, piggy,” he seems to say in video shared by CNN.
The comment came after the reporter asked Trump about what Epstein meant in a recently released email that claimed Trump “knew about the girls.”
I know nothing about that. They would have announced that a long time ago. It’s really, ‘What did he mean when he spent all the time with Bill Clinton, with the president of Harvard, you know who that is, Summers, Larry Summers, whatever his name is, and all of the other people that he spent time with?” Trump said.Jeffrey Epstein and I had a very bad relationship for many years, but he also saw strife because of I was president, so he dictated a couple of memos to himself. Give me a break,” Trump added.
The reporter continued to press Trump about what Epstein meant as another reporter starting speaking. That’s when Trump called her “piggy.”
Trump’s comments came just a few days before the House voted to release the Epstein files in their entirety. The vote was approved 427-1 on Tuesday, with Rep. Clay Higgins being the only Republican to vote no.
Five representatives did not vote.
