(FOX40.COM) —  The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal vehicle crash on State Route 160 on Wednesday afternoon.

According to CHP, a pedestrian was walking across the lanes on northbound SR-160 north of Royal Oaks when a vehicle crashed into the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

CHP told FOX40 that no DUI is currently suspected with the driver.

As of 2:15 p.m., the CHP incident log shows that all lanes have been open and ready for traffic.

No information has been released about the pedestrian.
