FALLON, Nev. (KOLO) – A crash in Fallon killed an elderly man from California.
At around 9:12 a.m. on Nov.11, troopers with Nevada Highway Patrol responded to US95 just south of Paiute Drive in Fallon for reports of a crash.
An initial investigation shows that a 2024 Dodge Hornet was headed south on US95 at the same time that a 1999 Kenworth was headed north.
NHP says the driver of the Dodge, 78-year-old Thomas Waljeski of Malibu, California, allowed his car to cross the centerline and enter into the northbound lane and crash into the Kenworth.
Waljeski was taken to the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 15.
