Daniel Tyree Gaitor Lomack’s You Can Hate Me Now debuts with an opening night experimental performance. His second performance with Night Gallery, it is inspired by living in MacArthur Park.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., bike, skate or stroll along a car-free Melrose Avenue between Fairfax and Vermont Avenues, dressed up as Hawkins, Indiana from Stranger Things. Take a pit stop throughout the ride for photo ops, activations, live entertainment, merch, giveaways and more

Tastemakers at the Getty Library — Nov. 23

Complemented by a conversation led by author John Birdsall, the debut of the Getty Center’s new culinary event series is inspired by The Alice B. Toklas Cookbook. The evening showcases recipes from the book and how food has long offered a space for self-expression, celebration and community-building among queer and creative circles throughout history.

Between two butter-toasted sesame buns, a quarter-pound turkey patty pairs with melted cheddar, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, fried yams and slathering of Smash Kitchen’s organic cranberry mayo.
