Early this year, in January, a Santa Clara business owner received a suspicious package. The package was marked “return to sender.” The business owner called the police. Investigators said they do not suspect the business owner of any crime.

The incident sparked an investigation that stretched on for months. A coordinated effort involving multiple agencies helped bring the alleged criminals to justice.

In addition to SCPD, Santa Clara County Special Enforcement Team, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and U.S. Postal Inspection Service assisted in the investigation.

During the raid on the stash-house and two other locations, police recovered a slew of contraband.

That contraband included four handguns, cryptocurrency and U.S. currency, more than 500,000 counterfeit Adderall pills, more than 100,000 counterfeit Xanax pills — suspected to contain fentanyl — more than 26 pounds of ecstasy pills, roughly 3.5 pounds of cocaine and more than 3 pounds of crystal Ketamine.

Lagergren wrote in an email that the investigation revealed several other suspicious packages had been delivered throughout Santa Clara County and Alameda County.

Police said they identified several suspects back in July. The arrest is connected to a large-scale dark web drug trafficking organization. Several other related arrests occurred across multiple states the week of Oct. 26, according to police.

Abidog, Pham and Nguyen face multiple charges: conspiracy, possession for sale of methamphetamine, possession for sale of cocaine and possession for sale of Ketamine. Additionally, Abidog also faces possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance.

The men are being held at the Santa Clara County Jail, 150 W. Hedding St. in San Jose.
