BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The 16th annual Bakersfield Comic Con – scheduled for Nov. 22 and 23 – will feature a large group of special guests including several cast members and the director of the 1982 film, “Grease” plus Eric Estrada, Larry Wilcox and Lou Wagner from the TV series “CHiPs.”
Doors will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Events will take place in buildings 2 and 3 at the Kern County Fairgrounds, located at 1142 South P St.
Admission is $15 for a single day on Saturday and $12 on Sunday. A ticket for both days is $20. Children ages 12 and under enter free. There is also a $5 fee to park at the facility.
A Bakersfield Fantasy Faire is part of the convention and requires no additional admission. This is the third year that convention goers are urged to come in costume and see Medieval fighting and food.
Tucci, who played Sonny in “Grease,” is best known for starring in the TV series “The Paper Chase” and “Diagnosis Murder.” Donnelly’s credits include “Veep,” “Ray Donovan” and “Black Mass.”
Manoff’s credits also include “Soap,” “Empty Nest,” “Rid on Entebbe,” “For Ladies Only” and “The Cover Girl and the Cop.” Besides “Grease,” Tucci is best known for starring in the TV series “The Paper Chase” and “Diagnosis Murder.” Jamie Donnelly’s credits include “Veep,” “Ray Donovan” and “Black Mass.”
Lamas went on to play Lance Cumson on the CBS drama “Falcon Crest” and then star as Reno Raines in the syndicated show “Renegade.” Other credits include “Jane the Virgin,” “Sons of Thunder” and “American Dad!”
Director Randal Kleiser – Other directing credits include “The Blue Lagoon,” “Big Top Pee-wee,” “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid,” “Flight of the Navigator.” Directed “Boy in the Plastic Bubble” with John Travolta.
A special reunion of cast members from the 1977 television series “CHiPs,” includes Estrada, Wilcox and Wagner. Other credits for Estrada include “Fallout,” “Planes: Fire and Rescue” and his current series “Divine Renovation.”
Wilcox went on to work on such series as “Pacific Blue,” “30 Rock” and “Profiler” while Wagner’s additional credits include “Conquest of the Planet of the Apes” and “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.”
Charlie Schlatter is making a return appearance at the convention having attended last year. He has worked with two of the biggest comedy legends in TV and film. He starred alongside George Burns in the 1988 comedy film “18 Again!” and was on the TV medical crime drama “Diagnosis Murder” from 1995-2001 that featured Dick Van Dyke in the starring role.
Those attending will be selling autographs and other merchandise.

Thunder Rosa – She is a Mexican-American professional wrestler known for her hard-hitting style, athleticism, and powerful in-ring presence.
Chavo Guerrero Jr. – The professional wrestler is currently signed to WWE and AAA. He is a six-time cruiserweight champion with the WWE and WCW.
Madison Brunoehler – The voice actor is best known for her work in “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” “Warhammer 40k,” and Narcissa Malfoy in the “The Great Wizarding War” series.
Pete Capala – The New Jersey began studying acting and comedy at the age of 16 and graduated with a BA in Theatre and Film. He’s best known as the voice of Silver the Hedgehog in the “Sonic the Hedgehog” games for SEGA.
Rico Anderson – He is known for such productions as “Truth Be Told” and “The Orville.”
Neo Edmond – The actor and New York Times best-selling author began as an actor appearing on numerous television shows, most notably as a member of the Putty Patrol on “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.”
Lindsey Bloom – Her credits include “The New Mike Hammer,” “Dallas” and “The Dukes of Hazzard.”
