HOUSTON, Texas—The Spartans recorded four top-10 individual finishes as the San José State women’s swimming and diving team finished competing at the Phill Hansel Invitational on Friday.

Vilma Lindberg had the best finish, placing fifth in the 200 breaststroke with a season-best 2:14.43.
Karlee Marusik was seventh in the 200 backstroke at 2:00.51, placing her among the top-10 all-time at seventh.
Genevieve George finished eighth at 2:00.88 in the 200 butterfly, followed by Lillie Grover who won the “B” final heat at 2:00.04 to place ninth.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Lillie Grover, Mya Azzopardi, Nikki Lahey and Keira Vail finished sixth at 3:21.81, the eighth-fastest time in school history.

UP NEXT – After a break for finals and the New Year, the Spartans jump back in the pool with a dual meet at Cal State East Bay on Friday, January 9, at 1 p.m.
