It’s since expanded and thrived in San Francisco and, more recently, opened its doors to riders in Los Angeles. On Friday, Waymo shared in a social media post that it’s been authorized to drive fully autonomously across more of California. The California Department of Motor Vehicles shows that 2021 or 2024 Jaguar I-Pace models or 2022 or 2025 Zeekr RT models of Waymo vehicles are approved to conduct driverless testing and deployment operations in several areas. In the Sacramento region, those areas include: Citrus Heights in Sacramento CountyElk Grove in Sacramento CountyFolsom in Sacramento County Galt in Sacramento CountyIsleton in Sacramento CountyRancho Cordova in Sacramento CountySacramento in Sacramento County Benicia in Solano CountyDixon in Solano CountyFairfield in Solano CountyRio Vista in Solano CountySuisun City in Solano CountyVacaville in Solano CountyVallejo in Solano County Davis in Yolo CountyRumsey Indian Rancheria in Yolo CountyWest Sacramento in Yolo CountyWinters in Yolo CountyWoodland in Yolo County See a full list here.
