COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The manager of an Oakland County restaurant was murdered this week, and since then, we’ve learned more about the shooting and the man who was arrested.

What happened

The shooting happened Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at the Prime 7 restaurant on Cooley Lake Road in Commerce Township.

Police said they were called to the restaurant and found Francesk Shkambi, 44, of Howell, lying on the patio.

He was given aid and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries, authorities said.

Man turns himself in

Police said they were investigating the shooting when they learned that someone had driven to the Farmington Hills Police Department and turned himself in.

That man was later identified as Tonin Pjetri.

Murder charge

Pjetri is a 65-year-old resident of Farmington Hills.

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, he was arraigned on a first-degree murder charge and a felony firearm violation.

If he’s convicted, Pjetri could face life in prison.

Restaurant closed

A funeral mass for Shkambi is scheduled for Monday. Prime 7 will remain closed until the day after — Nov. 25.
