A two-day electronic music festival is set to bring house and techno beats to Fresno this weekend, with organizers promising a “boutique festival experience” overlooking the city’s bluffs.

AIR. — a collaboration among All Day All Night, LMC ,and Maj Skouti — returns to The Grand on the Bluffs, near Palm and Nees avenues, on Saturday and Sunday.

The 18+ event will run from 1 to 9 p.m. each day and feature performances from major artists including Green Velvet, Dombresky, Boys Noize, Patrick Topping, AYYBO, Felix Da Housecat, and more.

Organizer Skouti, who grew up in Fresno, said the idea for AIR. came from wanting to create a more mature and curated electronic music experience for the Central Valley.

“We started throwing events together in Fresno right before the pandemic,” Skouti said. “Once everything kind of came back to life, we started back up. We had a nice community starting to form in Fresno, and so we thought, ‘Hey, what would be an exciting next step?’ Doing something outdoors felt right because we hadn’t really seen anything in the style of what we had envisioned — a more mature electronic music kind of experience.”

Festivalgoers can expect a single stage overlooking the bluffs, food vendors, a full bar and a “world-class sound system,” Skouti said.

“The location is absolutely gorgeous,” he added. “It’s a really nice view overlooking the bluffs, and you know, nice, clear skies, and beautiful sunset vibes with some beautiful people.”

Skouti said the event is expected to draw between 1,500 and 2,000 people each day, with most attendees buying two-day passes. “We really want you to come both days so we did our best to keep the ticket price as low as possible,” he said.

Bringing a Taste of San Francisco to Fresno

He added that working with the city has been smooth, though planning took time. “I was born in Fresno, I live in San Francisco now,” Skouti said. “What’s really cool for me is like I’ve gotten to experience a lot in the San Francisco music scene, and I feel in a way that we’re bringing a little taste of that to the Central Valley. The venue is so special.”

The lineup, Skouti said, is designed to showcase a wide spectrum of sounds. “We’ve curated our line up with some of the most world renowned and innovative players in the house, techno, tech house, & afro house scenes,” he said. “We just really want you to come and experience it.”

Tickets are available in single-day and two-day passes, with early arrival and VIP options, starting at $58.50.
