The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is hoping to spark a connection among the tigers.

A new female feline is making her home at the zoo.

Eight-year-old Malayan tiger, Batari, arrived from the Tulsa Zoo in September.

Fresno Chaffee Zoo guests can now see Batari as she gets used to her new habitat in the Kingdoms of Asia.

Zookeepers hope she and Penari, the male Malayan tiger, are a match.

Their arranged romance is part of the “Species Survival Plan” facilitated by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
