At least 4 people were hospitalized after a fiery crash between two cars in Scripps Ranch on Monday.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department firefighters and paramedics responded to the intersection of Spring Canyon Road and Blue Cypress Drive at 5:41 p.m., where one car became fully engulfed in flames, according to department spokeswoman Candace Hadley.
At least four patients were transported to hospitals, with one of them in a critical condition, Hadley said.
One person was found lying in the street, but it was not immediately clear if that person was ejected or taken out of the car.
Police closed off some of Spring Canyon Road Monday night. As of 7:45 p.m., some of the road was still closed and police remain on scene.
