BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A Rosamond man convicted of murdering his neighbor over a broken window dispute in 2020 has been sentenced to 25 years to life plus 10 years, according to the Kern County Superior Court website.
Raffi Daniellian was found guilty on Sept. 25, 2025, of first-degree murder with the use of a firearm in the death of Lavel Myers.
The incident occurred on Oct. 19, 2020, when Daniellian confronted his neighbor, Lavel Myers, at 2430 Grandview Terrace in Rosamond.
According to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, Daniellian waited at Myers’ front door for over two minutes, ringing the doorbell five times. After being acknowledged by Myers, Daniellian walked to the back patio and asked if Myers would pay for his windows. Within seconds, Daniellian fired eight shots, killing the 25-year-old. Doorbell footage captured Daniellian at the front door and running back to his house with a firearm after the shooting.

In 2022, Daniellian entered a not guilty by reason of insanity plea, but the jury found him guilty of first-degree murder on Sept. 17, 2025. The jury later determined he was legally sane at the time of the murder. As a result, Daniellian will serve his sentence in the California Department of Corrections.
District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer stated at the time of his conviction, “Daniellian’s premeditated killing demands full accountability with the appropriate prison sentence. I am grateful to the jury for their careful deliberation and for acknowledging the gravity of his actions in taking an innocent life.”
Daniellian was sentenced on Nov. 19, 2025.
