LONG BEACH, Miss. (WLOX) – Long Beach city officials said a Batman wooden figure from the holiday display at the Harper McCaughan Town Green was stolen over the weekend.

“This handcrafted piece was part of the Christmas decorations created for our community to enjoy, and its removal is both disappointing and disheartening,” the city said in a statement on social media.
City officials said a lot of time and effort goes into creating and setting up the holiday display, and that seeing pieces stolen “takes away from the spirit we’re all working to build.”

City officials said cameras caught individuals stealing the decor.
Tina Ramon Bradley painted the four-foot wooden piece and hopes someone who knows something will speak up.
