Coroner ID’s man assaulted on southeast Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a 43-year-old man who was assaulted in southeast Bakersfield.

Coroner officials said Luis Valenzuela Jr., 43, was assaulted in the 300 block of Vancluse Bay Drive. He was found at about 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries.
