Students at Country Montessori School just made a big difference – and had a lot of fun – raising more than $33,000 for their school during the annual Walk-A-Thon on November 13.
Over the years, our Walk-A-Thons have helped fund the outside learning garden, new turf around the campus, playhouses and play structures, and outdoor shaded areas. This year the proceeds will fund a school marquee sign and enhanced security components. Students’ can then really see how their fundraising efforts are reinvested into the school and campus.
But the rewards of the event go beyond upgrades to the school. Students with the greatest number of sponsors and with the highest donation in the school will get their names on the school’s Walk-A-Thon plaque. All students will celebrate their fundraising achievement during an ice cream party in December. But mostly, students will have fun with their friends, take pride in their ability to make a great school even better, build spirit, and make memories.
