FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Visit Fresno County is rolling out a new resident survey, asking locals how tourism impacts life in the community and how it could be even better in the future.
Tourism isn’t just for visitors.
In 2024, travelers spent $1.48 billion in Fresno County, supporting local businesses, creating 17,000 jobs, and bringing in $53.7 million in local tax revenue.
Beyond the numbers, tourism affects all of us, from your favorite taco spot to the weekend events you actually attend.
“Tourism touches everything from our favorite restaurants to local events,” saysLisa Oliveira, President and CEO of Visit Fresno County. “It’s a team effort, and our residents are a big part of the conversation as we continue to grow as a California destination.”
