“Thank you all for coming here and supporting us. We had an amazing stay here in Midtown Sacramento, and we truly appreciate the love this community has shown Kitchen 15,” Kitchen 15 said on social media. “Our three-year lease has officially ended, and with that, we will be closing our doors on Sunday. Thank you for welcoming us into your lives and celebrations.”
In the comment section of the post, Kitchen 15 went on to further explain the reason behind the closure.
“Unfortunately, new lease terms are outrageous and do not make sense,” Kitchen 15 said. “They also won’t fix the AC.”
Kitchen 15 is known for its specialty brunch that includes the Sactown Omelet, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, bottomless mimosa options, and its lunch menu.
Nearly 100 people on social media expressed disappointment in the loss of Kitchen 15.
“Sacramento is making it hard for our small businesses to succeed. We keep losing good places,” one Instagram user said.
Another user said, “Wow, you guys were one of our favorite breakfast spots. Wish you all the best and hope to see a comeback in the future.”
Kitchen 15’s last day of business is Sunday, and the company said it will not be relocating.
