Del Mar Community Connections (DMCC) will host its annual Cookies and Cocoa Holiday Party on Friday, Dec. 12, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on the Del Mar Civic Center plaza. Older adults, their friends, neighbors, and loved ones are all welcome to attend this joyful free event featuring cookies home-baked by volunteers, hot cocoa, and live musical entertainment. This year’s entertainment includes holiday music from Bea and Adam, Dwight Worden, DMCC’s Singing Connection group, a game of Name That Tune, and a visit from a jolly old friend.

Reservations are required. To let DMCC know that you are planning to attend, visit www.dmcc.cc/holidayparty. Thanks to a partnership with San Diego Seniors Community Foundation, this event is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for a kid between the ages of 5 and 12 or a $20 gift card for a teen to contribute to DMCC’s toy drive benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest San Diego, according to a news release.

DMCC is an independent 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to support and serve older residents of Del Mar so that they may age independently at home. DMCC helps seniors live active, vibrant lives by providing transportation, education, and social activities.
