Westbound Belmont closed for utility upgrades starting Monday in SE Fresno

FRESNO, Calif (FOX26) — Westbound Belmont Avenue will be closed beginning Monday, between Armstrong and Fowler Avenues, due to construction.

The work is only being done on the westbound side and should not affect eastbound traffic.

The work will involve installing new sewer and storm drain connections, as well as other underground utility upgrades.

The westbound section of Belmont is expected to reopen on Friday, December 12th, pending weather or any unforeseen delays.

Drivers are encouraged to follow the posted detour or use an alternate route.
