A possible electrical room explosion at a 25-story building in downtown Los Angeles Monday evening critically injured at least two workers.
Firefighters responded just after 6:50 p.m. to a fire that broke out on the 20th floor of the One Wilshire building on Wilshire Boulevard near Grand Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Two people were taken to a hospital in critical condition, but the extent of their injuries was not disclosed.
“There is no fire problem or residual electrical issue,” according to fire crews.
An evacuation order was issued for the floor above and below the affected 20th floor.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
