An 83-year-old pedestrian who was struck in San Ysidro on Saturday evening has died, authorities said.

Eduardo Sanchez, a San Ysidro resident, was walking across San Ysidro Boulevard midblock, just west of Interstate 805, when he was struck by a westbound Jeep Liberty around 6:30 p.m., according to San Diego police and the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
