SAN ANTONIO – As we reported first here, An ICE Homeland Security Investigations office was targeted with an envelope containing suspicious powder.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at an ICE facility near the 1000 block of Jackson Keller Road.

According to an ICE spokesperson, office personnel were evacuated due to an abundance of caution.

“This incident was a blatant attempt to disrupt ICE operations and endanger its personnel. Such attacks on federal facilities and employees are not only reprehensible but also constitute serious violations of federal law. ICE will not tolerate any threats or actions aimed at undermining its critical mission of enforcing laws and protecting the security of the United States. Those responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” said the ICE spokesperson.

Multiple Castle Hills fire units were seen at the facility, including hazmat.
