FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Fresno State President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval is set to receive a 10 percent increase to his base salary following approval in November from the California State University Board of Trustees.
That means he could be making more than $520,000 a year.
The increase would also make Jiménez-Sandoval the fifth-highest paid president among the 18 CSU schools.
The salary bump is tied to certain performance goals.
Twelve CSU presidents, including Jiménez-Sandoval, qualify for the executive compensation package, approved by trustees on November 19.
During that same meeting, the board also renewed what it calls a “Tuition Stability Policy.”
The plan increases student tuition by up to five percent per year.
