BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking new recruits and will host its final job fair of the year on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Regional Training Center, located at 962 Norris Road.

The event, starting at 8:30 a.m., offers attendees an opportunity to practice the physical ability test, with testing scheduled for 10 a.m.

Participants are encouraged to wear athletic attire.

The job fair will include Q&A sessions with current deputies and on-site testing and application assistance.

Incentives for new hires include a $15,000 recruitment and retention bonus for Deputy Sheriff or Detentions Deputy positions, and a $25,000 bonus for lateral hires.

Relocation bonuses of $5,000 and housing stipends are also available for qualified deputies.
