Free E-Bike Training Class
A free classroom-style training session covering bike and e-bike safety and rules of the road is from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 25 at the Vista Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive and online. Participants receive a free helmet, while supplies last and may be eligible for an e-bike rebate through the City of Vista’s program. Visit vista.gov/residents/e-bike-safety-training-rebate-program.
Open house at fire stations
Vista Fire Rescue continues its Open Houses for Fire Prevention Month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 25 at Fire Station #5, 2009 S. Melrose Drive. and Nov. 1 with Halloween treats (wear a costume) at Fire Station #6, 651 E. Vista Way. The free series welcomes the community inside the fire stations. Visitors can meet firefighters/paramedics and see live demonstrations, fire engines and equipment and pick up safety and wildfire prevention tips.
