Oct. 6 — Assault: Caller reported domestic violence in progress between Michelle L. Forrisdahl and another subject. Officers determined that Forrisdahl was the primary aggressor. She was booked for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). One officer transported her while another filled out the citation. It was confirmed with the jail staff that they received the documents.

Caller stated that there was a homeless man trying to get into the back locked gate of a business, and was last seen wearing a gray hood, black coat and blue jeans. An officer contacted a male subject who was asleep standing up, leaned over a garbage can, with a mattress laying partially on top of him. He denied trying to get into the building, but stated he grabbed cigarette buds out of the ash tray. He told the officer he found the mattress by the garbage can, and was almost to where he was going. The officer cleared and left.

Caller reported that an older male subject pulled a pistol on him after a verbal altercation. The caller was able to grab the subject’s arm and push it away, ran out of the laundromat, and called the police. He did not think at the time that the subject had pointed the gun at him, but later stated he did.

Three officers approached the subject, and he told them that he did pull the gun, but did not aim it at the caller. He said that he felt threatened since the caller was yelling at him.

This altercation was because the caller took the subject’s laundry basket to move his clothes to another machine and it still had hangers on it. When confronted about it, the caller was allegedly yelling and threw the subject’s hangers onto the other machines. The caller stated that he tried to apologize to the subject after the altercation.

In the surveillance footage, the subject is observed grabbing his small silver pistol on the right side of his hip, and pulling it out of the holster. He appears to start to bring it up to point it at the caller, but the caller was able to grab onto the subject and get out of the Laundromat. The caller was unsure if he wanted to press charges against the subject, and was given a statement form by an officer. The owner of the laundromat did not want to trespass the subject.

There was a report of a subject driving under the influence while traveling through Chinook. The driver then parked at the Ilwaco Post Office. An officer made contact with the driver/registered owner of the vehicle at their residence. She was not impaired, but said she was just on her phone.

Oct. 7 — Caller stated there was a male subject outside, hitting the building and throwing rocks at the windows. The subject was wearing white pants and a red shirt. Two officers responded and identified the suspect as Casey R. Ford, who was intoxicated and irate. Ford was cited as a minor in possession of alcohol and released.

The owner of an inn stated that a male subject was yelling about children murderers and threw one of their orange cones at their gutter around 3 a.m. last night, causing damage. An officer identified the male subject from the inn’s Ring camera footage, and the inn owner wants him trespassed. The officer searched for the subject, but was unable to locate him.

Oct. 9 — There was a report of a possible domestic violence problem in the parking lot of an apartment building. An officer arrived and contacted an irate Nicholas R. West. He was trying to get into a car that a subject was sitting in. It turned out that nothing physical had happened, but each one was saying the car belonged to them. The officer told them that it would be a civil matter, and they would need to take it to court.

West was very upset and would not calm down. He was placed under arrest for a warrant out of South Bend. He claimed that the subject stole a bunch of his stuff, and he wanted to press charges. The officer told him it would be a civil matter, and drove him to Johnson’s landing,  where another officer arrived and took him the rest of the way.

Oct. 11 — There was a two-vehicle accident. One vehicle struck an unoccupied parked vehicle on the side of the highway. The suspect was driving a 1994 Dodge Ram, and the victim had a 2025 silver Chevy Silverado. The suspect was apparently under the influence of alcohol, and had fallen asleep when he then swerved and struck the parked Chevy. He was cited for driving under the influence and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Prowler: Resident reported someone forcefully pounding on their front door. At least two subjects were observed from a distance as they took off running. The caller remained at the residence for law enforcement contact. The caller’s wife took off after the subjects on foot and began checking the area.

An officer also checked the area, and contacted the caller in person. He then contacted the caller’s wife, and she was unable to determine the age or identity of the subjects. Both asked if they could use “less lethal” on the subjects if they caught them. The officer advised the callers to be good witnesses, and obtain video for enforcement and possible prosecution. The officer was unable to locate the subjects.
