CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – American soul and bluegrass filled the Ting Pavilion on Saturday, October 11, as the California Honeydrops and the Infamous Stringdusters played in downtown Charlottesville.
The California Honeydrops took the stage first, bringing retro sounding, soulful jazz jam. The Oakland-based band has already played as far away as Minneapolis this summer and has shows scheduled in Charlotte, Atlanta, Seattle and many places in between through the rest of the year.
Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band the Infamous Stringdusters headlined the show, playing both new releases and the classics they have become known for. Their upcoming album 20/20 is a celebration of the band’s two decades of performing. The Stringdusters had been nominated for Grammy awards three times before winning best bluegrass album in 2023 for Toward the Fray.
